Hannah Lavin - Owner, Trainer, Professional Rider
Hannah Lavin is a second generation equine professional and grew up in Vermont with parents involved in both the hunter/jumper show industry as well as the Standardbred racing industry. With that background, Lavin developed into a well-rounded horseman with strong hands-on experiences in many facets of horse management and training.
After a successful, award-winning junior career, Lavin embarked on her professional career as a rider at Volo Farm under her mother, head instructor Linda Levy. Her education continued in Europe with a six-month stint as a working student for Stall Brinkmann in Herford, Germany where she expanded her skill set and made long-lasting international connections. In 2012, she took over as head trainer at Volo Farm where she was responsible for the management, care and training of over 50 horses at a top hunter/jumper facility. As a rider, she earned numerous Circuit Champion awards at A-rated shows, multiple Grand Prix placings and trained clients to success at major finals including the New England Equitation Championship as well as Pony Finals.
In 2016, she opened her own facility - HL Select - and shifted her focus towards her real passion - developing young horses and helping clients foster positive relationships with their horses and work towards becoming well-rounded horsemen and women as well as successful riders. She continues to show successfully at top shows throughout the winter in Florida and the summers in New England.
